The God-Intentioned You
The God-intentioned You
By Haven Barber
Where is the YOU God knitted together within your mother’s womb before the foundation of the Earth was formed? I want you to ask yourself, at what point did you begin to lose pieces of the God-intentioned you?
Did you know that the HEART OF THE FATHER is that ALL of His children would fulfill their kingdom destiny while living a whole and healthy life in relationship and intimacy with Him?
”For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.“
Psalm 139:13
”even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love, he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,“
Ephesians 1:4-5
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5
Jeremiah isn’t the only one (He did the same for you!) Let’s paint a picture:
In the beginning, God formed His daughter. She is whole and every bit of who God had stitched together and destined her to be. Throughout life, trauma, sin, and unforgiveness begin to steal pieces of her that were never meant to be lost. A shell starts to form; she begins to build walls. This becomes the person she sees when she looks at herself, so she picks up these pieces (that God never intended for her to) and attaches her identity to them instead of her Father.
She then lives a life where she walks in the identity the world gave her instead of the identity GOD gave her. Until one day, she encounters Him. He reveals to her that who she is today isn’t the daughter He intended for her to be. His grace and mercy begin to chisel away at everything she had picked up and decided to label herself with.
Ugly, Stupid, Broken, Worthless, Useless To Beautiful, Intelligent, Whole, Priceless, Desirable
God says, “I will NEVER regret or reject you. I love you. Agape. All the pieces you’ve lost of yourself, the YOU I knitted together in your mother’s womb, I am calling back into place. I’m putting YOU back together. The trauma, the pain, the worldly pieces you’ve picked up over the years don’t form you any longer. They don’t make you who you are.”
God is placing all of the intended intentional pieces of you back into your hands. Don’t forget that. Because you belong to Him, He has also given you the power and authority to call those pieces back into place! He is saying, “This is who you are.” He says, “I’m changing the desires of your heart to align with mine.”
This is a season of returning to the beginning of who God intended us to be and resting there.
