Become Like Little Children
Become Like Little Children
By Sarah Martin
The Lord is showing me the difference between freedom in love and the bondage of religion. He is revealing the difference between fear-driven and the freedom to experience and become. He has shown me real-life situations where the wrong spirit operates in the church and everyday life. The cult-like behavior driven by fear is everywhere!
Anytime fear is in operation, it is producing people who have no free will. People who blindly follow someone else's rules and believe that is the way to a fulfilled life when, in reality, it's producing the opposite. These people do not experience the Father's character and are not in tune with their authentic character. These people become veiled from seeing the truth.
Fear stops a person from being able to experience and receive revelation regarding what they just experienced. At the same time, love empowers you to experience the thing and hear what God says about it.
Fear causes us to survive every day instead of thriving. When you are surviving, you aren't paying attention to your surroundings and surely can't hear the whole truth from God. Surviving causes us to stay in the same place, going around the same mountain with no real revelation. It's in the thriving where we can taste and see, experience and ask questions. It's the freedom in love, the thriving, where we become like little children and curiosity and creativity flow; this is where God dwells.
When we receive God's perfect love, then His perfect love spills out of us. There's nothing we did but receive. We don't need to discipline ourselves to better portray the fruit of the spirit because it will spill out of us if we just receive it. It's not something we do. It's something He does. As we receive love and grace, we become the givers of love and grace. As we receive His love- shame, condemnation, and guilt fall off, freeing us from the weight of the bondage.
As we receive His perfect love, we are free to become while asking questions and experiencing. Taste and see that the Lord is good! His love also gives us the opportunity to experience His grace in mistakes, to experience His strength in our weaknesses, to discover the truth of God's character, and to love ourselves and our flaws while going through the process of being renewed.
Becoming like little children is yet another thing we don't do for ourselves but receive from Father. As we receive His true love, layer by layer of shame and guilt break off, and we are freed to experience His goodness. It's a continual process of receiving His love that will break through more and more layers of lies and deception. And as these layers of bondage break off, we can see and receive so much more revelation! We are free to experience Him and know he's not a mean judge waiting to judge us for our mistakes but instead walks with us hand in hand through them and lovingly teaches us the right and the wrong. As we are loved back to life, we are released to taste and see as we walk with Him, knowing that He wants us to ask Him questions and wait for His answer.
Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. Whoever walks constantly afraid of punishment, has not reached love’s perfection.
1 John 4:18 TPT
I want people to know the truth! I have been asking the Lord how we accomplish this, and He told me it is through loving relationships. That includes walking them through the things that don't look great. Instead of turning your back on people when they are going through a tough time and saying you disagree with what they're doing, be bold, continue to have a relationship with them, and continue speaking life and showing them love throughout the process. Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do.
