Unlocking the Generations
“Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophetic utterances.”
1 Thessalonians 5:19 -20 NASB1995
Recently I had the opportunity to visit Costa Rica! While there, I saw that the country was coming out of the religious spirit. What had bound and confused for so long had broken and the light had come. There was such a hunger to hear the Father’s voice for themselves as the divide between clergy and laity was broken.
One evening, we had an altar call at the conference for everyone that wanted to receive their prayer language. Half of the people came forward desiring to experience the Holy Spirit in a new way! There was a tangible excitement for more of Him. They wanted to have the gift so they could speak with Father when they didn’t know what to say (Romans 8:26-28). That night there were about 30 people that got their prayer language for the first time. As the conference went on and faith rose up, more and more people received their prayer language. It was amazing to see the joy that came from those that got their prayer language!
We hosted prophetic rooms where individuals could come receive a prophetic word from a team. Holy Spirit was showing up in a big way in the prophetic rooms as we ministered. We had completed over 150 times of ministry between the teams we had. As the words were released people were getting touched by the Father as strangers spoke into the deep places of their hearts. One couple came in, the husband was one of the leaders of the conference, I kept hearing the word “children” in my spirit and I asked him if he had a school at his church. He stated he just started a prophetic school for the children called the Voice of the Children! This resonated in my spirit that he was raising up the next generation of prophetic warriors. I declared that everything will be provided and the Lord was going to move in mighty ways with the children.
“Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophetic utterances.”
1 Thessalonians 5:19 -20 NASB1995
The enemy does not want us to unlock the gifts in the younger generations. He does not want us to disciple them and teach them to grow in their gifts. It’s our job to not quench the younger generation’s spirit, but to encourage them, and to raise them up as sons and daughters. When our children are stepping out and they are hearing from the Lord we need to encourage them to release what they have heard. Our son Hezekiah had a prompt to pray for a man in service and he went up to pray for him. After he had released the word to him the man was so touched that he gave his life to the Lord. If we had quenched the Spirit and not let Hezekiah release it he might not have felt the love of the Lord love that deeply.
As the trip came to the end I saw that many churches in Costa Rica will be raising up sons and daughters to start walking in their destiny. This is an exciting and beautiful time in Costa Rica that will have global impacts as these children walk out their destinies!
